having a schedule for daily care

Hmm. Lots of mix-up here about eating schedules. Diabetes self-care is best done set to a regular schedule of exercise, testing, mealtimes, medications if needed, etc. IMO we can't get healthy by approaching our daily schedule all willy-nilly, with no plan in place-- okay for it to be a semi-flexible plan, of course, but... going all day without eating, etc? Not healthy, not for anyone, especially for someone with metabolic issues.

Skipping meals, eating scanty non-meals, fudging around in the dark without testing-- all of that is a recipe for eventual disaster. You cannot go by how you "feel", because even experienced diabetics know that their physical feelings can lie to them like a rug.

Test. Eat at scheduled times. If your meter is telling you that you "can't eat", then something is screwy-- you ate too much recently, you're exercising too little, your schedule is off, you need meds, something.
